Field of Empty Chairs: There are 168 chairs which symbolize the 168 victims who lost their lives in the attack. There are 9 rows of chairs to represent the 9 floors of the building which are placed according to the floor in which each victim was working or visiting. Each chair has a glass base with the name of the victim.

The field's perimater matches the footprint of the former Murrah Building and is lined in a path of granite from the former plaza.
